APPENDIX M of API650

 

1.1  Scope

1)     API 650 Tank에 대해서 annex M의 요구조건을 만족시키면 Maximum Design Temperature를 260도까지 높이는 것이 가능

 

2)     아래 Tank에 대해서는 D.T를 93도 이상으로 높이는 것이 불가능하다.

-      Open Top Tank

-      Floating Roof Tanks

-      Structurally supported Aluminum Dome Roofs

-      Internal Floating roofs Constructed of Aluminum

-      Internal Floating Roofs Constructed of Composite material

 

 

1.2  Modifications in Stress and Thickness

1)     Design Temperature가 93 °C를 초과할 경우

Allowable Stress를 아래 2개의 값 중 작은 값으로 적용

-      2/3 x yield strength x Factor(Table M.1a)

-      Product Design Stress (Table 5.2a)

 

2)     Operating Temperature가 93 °C를 초과할 경우의 Allowable Stress

Fy (Minimum Yield Strength of Roof Plate)값은 M1a, M1b의 Factor값을 적용한다.

 

 

1.3  Tank Bottom

1)     Diameter가 30m 이상일 경우 butt-welded Annular Plate를 제공해야 한다.

 

 

1.4  Self-Supporting Roof

1)     Roof Plate의 calculated minimum thickness를 계산할 때 Modulus of Elasticity는 Table M.2a의 값을 적용하여야 한다.
